Misty has had a steadfast career in accounting at Bridgestone Americas for more than 17 years.  As a non-traditional college student and young mother, Misty worked tirelessly to get her bachelors degree in accounting while working full time over the years.  Misty wants others to know it can be done and hopes that she is an inspiration to others.   Misty is currently the Controls and Compliance Leader for Bridgestone Americas Record to Report team.  In this role, she helps ensure the entire department operates with solid accounting controls and is a liaison for internal and external auditors.  She has also had the pleasure to work on transformation & automation projects, focusing on continuous improvement and efficiencies for the multi-billion dollar organization.

Misty believes in the value of continuing education and thrives on life-long learning.  She was drawn to the IMA for the many personal development opportunities offered.  Misty joined the Nashville Chapter board in July 2021.

LibbyLibby Antognoli   Treasurer

Libby Antognoli is a Finance and Accounting Executive experienced in Corporate and Public Accounting in the areas of Construction, Architecture, Retail, Medical, and Transportation. She is currently the Controller for TMPartners, PLLC, a National High-Quality Architectural and Interior Design firm based in Brentwood, TN founded 1977. The firm is focused on Architecture, Interiors, and Planning Services experts in Healthcare, Government (public, safety, civic, education, and aviation), Higher Education and Commercial Projects.

Libby is focused on adding corporate value, profitability, and revenue growth through building, leading, and enabling high-performing teams while developing and executing data-informed strategies in a wide variety of industries. Possessing the passion of a successful entrepreneur and the discipline of a veteran executive with tremendous personal energy and strong emotional maturity. Known for analyzing alternatives to solve complex strategic and financial strategies, guiding executive teams through complex dealings, and fusing disparate interests for win-win outcomes. Successfully navigates in ambiguous situations through focus, resourcefulness and an exceptionally rich and versatile skill set in strategy, corporate finance, and executive leadership.

As her role as a Financial Leader has evolved to include technical acumen, she has managed many projects involving hardware and software designs, development, testing, integration, and training. Overseeing the automation of every facet of finance and accounting. Continuous improvement and best practices push the need to seek out new and exciting technological advances which are being developed at an accelerated rate.

Libby has a Masters in Accounting and Finance, BA in Psychology and French, and Post Graduate Studies in Computer Science with Certifications in Change Management, Six Sigma, and Project Management. As a lifetime learner she has a strong interest in data analysis, data visualization, and machine learning and is currently learning R and Python programming languages as well as advanced classes in Tableau and Power BI.

Libby is married with two children and lives in Franklin, TN. She enjoys spending time with family, hiking, traveling, cooking, gardening, and reading. She is a Board Member and Treasurer for the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) and AFP (Association of Financial Professionals). Member of PMI (Project Management Institute), CFO Leadership Conference, The Strategic CFO, SSGI (Six Sigma Global Institute), and CFMA (Construction Financial Management Association).

Jessica Armstrong  Secretary

Jessica Armstrong is an experienced professional with over 8 years of expertise in account management, including more than 3 years at Randstad. She excels at identifying, attracting, and helping her clients hire the right talent. Passionate about guiding individuals through their finance and accounting careers, Jessica partners with clients to understand their industry nuances and objectives, ensuring tailored solutions. Her strong social networking and team-building skills enable her to foster lasting relationships with both clients and candidates, consistently delivering exceptional service and results.

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys attending yoga classes, hiking, and immersing herself in nature.

Dr. Jeannie Harrington, CMA, CPA  VP of Engagement (Previous President)

Jeannie Johnson Harrington, CMA, CPA is Chair of the Department of Accounting and the HCA Professor of Accounting at Middle Tennessee State University. 

Dr. Harrington has been on the faculty of MTSU since 1988 and has taught several different courses during her tenure.  She uses active learning and is always ready to try the latest educational pedagogue.  She is the faculty advisor for the Student Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), the Past-President for the Tennessee Society of Accounting Educators, and is an active member of numerous committees.    She also serves on the Nashville IMA and Millview Swim Club Boards of Directors.   After many years of service to IMA, Dr. Harrington will be assuming the role of President for the Nashville chapter board in the upcoming fiscal year.

Dr. Harrington’s research interests include foreign financial reporting, outsourcing, corporate social reporting and IFRS applications.  She received the 1999 and 2006 awards from the Tennessee Society of CPAs for her articles on the Eurodollar and outsourcing of tax returns.  Jeannie has been active in the International Accounting Section (IAS) of the American Accounting Association for many years, having served as the Southeast Region Liaison, Secretary, and newsletter editor and photographer for eight years.  She received the Outstanding Service Award for IAS in 2012.

Jeannie is CEO of the Harrington household consisting of her husband, Paul, college age children Natalie and Hank, and Labrador dogs Cody and Jill.  Jeannie earned her doctorate degree from the University of Kentucky, and her ties to both UK and MTSU solidify her heart bleeds BLUE! She is an avid masters swimmer, and loves boating and hiking.

Morgan Ball  Director of Meetings 

Morgan Ball serves as Director of Business Operations in Rezult Group's Nashville office and specializes in all things accounting and finance.  Morgan started her career as a Recruiting Partner and has progressively taken on new roles within the organization. She found her passion for sales when she became a Business Development Manager where she interfaced with clients, worked closely with her team, enhanced her knowledge of organizational accounting and finance needs, and learned how to best partner with her clients.  This is her 3rd year with IMA and she loves having such an amazing organization to share with her network!

Morgan received her bachelor’s degree from The University of Memphis where she studied Public Relations.   She and her husband live in Brentwood and are proud parents to their one-year-old daughter and two Wheaten Terriers.  Morgan loves cheering on the Tigers, being with friends traveling and celebrating all things Nashville!

Jordyn Edwards Milan  VP of Communication

Jordyn is the Area Vice President in the Finance and Accounting division at Randstad. With over nine years of industry experience, she excels in supporting accounting teams by providing contract and direct-hire talent solutions and offering insights on market trends such as pay rates, unemployment rates, candidate availability, and skills-based hiring.

In 2024, Jordyn joined the IMA Board as the VP of Communications, aiming to expand membership in Nashville and provide valuable resources to the finance and accounting community.

Outside of her professional life, Jordyn enjoys spending time with her two corgis, Henry and Cooper, and actively participates in various community groups. She is a passionate supporter of the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns, and during football season, you will find her watching games with friends.

Marcy Binkley, DBA, CPA, CMA  Director of CMA Program & Academic Relations 

Marcy Binkley is an Associate Professor of the Practice of Business Studies at Vanderbilt University. Dr. Binkley leads the accounting education in the Hoogland Undergraduate Business Program, as well as teaches accounting analytics in the Master of Accountancy program at the Owen Graduate School of Business. Dr. Binkley’s research has been presented at multiple international academic conferences and published in academic journals, such as the Journal of Emerging Technologies in Accounting. Dr. Binkley was most recently accepted as a member of the 2023 AICPA Leadership Academy.
Dr. Binkley began her career in public accounting with Ernst & Young, providing assurance services to firms in the healthcare industry. She then spent several years at Genesco in both internal audit and corporate accounting positions. Prior to joining the faculty at Vanderbilt, Dr. Binkley held a six-year faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Lipscomb University.
Dr. Binkley earned her bachelor’s degree from Harding University (Finance), her Master of Accountancy degree from the Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University, and her Doctor of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

Tim Creel | Directory | Lipscomb UniversityTim Creel, CMA, CPA  Director at Large

Dr. Tim Creel is an Assistant Professor of Accounting at Lipscomb University. He is a CPA, Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified in Corporate Strategy and Analysis (CSCA), and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA).

Creel earned a BBA in Accounting from Harding University, an MBA from Lipscomb, where he received the Outstanding MBA Graduate award, a Master of Science in Accounting, an Educational Specialist degree in educational technology from the University of Missouri, and a Doctor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Nova Southeastern University.

Dr. Creel's research interests include sustainability, accounting education, and Christian business perspectives. He has had several journal publications in these areas, along with several conference presentations for organizations such as the American Accounting Association, the Center on Teaching and Learning, the Institute of Management Accountants, the Tennessee Society for Accounting Educators and the Association for Financial Professionals.

He has worked with the IMA for many years as a campus advocate, including the start up of a student chapter.  In 2021, Tim joined the Nashville Chapter board to further assist with his passion areas -- academic relations and raising awareness of CMA credential.   His community service includes time as a board member and treasurer for the United Way, teaching and helping with a youth group at Church, and work with the Tennessee Society of Accounting Educators.

Susan Maddux, CPA   Director at Large

Susan was introduced to the IMA by being a guest speaker at one of our CPE luncheons.  She immediately felt a connection to the group and joined as an IMA member.  Susan is a two-time past president of the Nashville chapter as well as past president of the Lincoln Trail Regional Council. Susan recently retired from full-time work but keeps busy by working on special projects with the Country Music Foundation, Inc. Susan and her husband enjoy the great outdoors and spending time with their adult children and grandchildren.
