President's Message

Happy New Year and welcome to 2020!

Hard to believe we have started a new decade!  As mentioned at the start of this chapter year, the Board has been focused on offering different options for membership engagement.  We had a great social event kick off in August at Your Pie pizza.  Thank you to all members and guests who were able to come out.   Our CPE sessions this year have been focused on "Finance of the Future" including Blockchain, Robotics Process Automation, as well as Professional Ethics.  As we look forward into 2020, we are planning some great speakers on Cybersecurity and Data Audits.  Let us know what interests you!

We have alternated meeting locations and times this past year, and it has been nice to see a few new faces at these events.   You never know who you just might run into....there are definitely a lot of accounting and finance professionals crossing paths in our Nashville community!

IMA is a wonderful organization with tons of resources to help you grow personally and professionally. Let us help you with your goals for 2020.
  • Are you interested in the CMA certification?   We have information on the new format of the exam.
  • Need to expand your network?  Get away from your desk and come to one of our luncheons or breakfasts.
  • Interested in gaining experience serving on a Board?   Now is a great time to shadow a current board member and learn more about what it means to be a volunteer leader for our profession.
I encourage you to get involved and gain the most from your IMA membership.  Let us know how we can serve you by emailing us at nashville@imachapter.org.
We look forward to meeting you at our next CPE event, and friends and co-workers are always welcome.  Hope to see you soon!

Kind Regards,

Amy Scully
